So excited for you... as are many of the 'left behind' - my heart wants you to be safe but also to play dangerous!
The blog looks amazing! Your personality and story are clearly articulated and it looks cool too. Glad it's up and running and I will be able to tell where you are when you leave. xoxox
Eep! Does a van music player count as a donation? Or is it 'meh'?
Sure does!! or a trade for something.....

Yayyyyy, super excited for you and all the adventures to come. Love your blog, love your art and photos, and I love the whole bartering approach. I've been in my van for nigh on 3 years now, it's a lifestyle I really love and I expect you will too. Congrats!PS my blog is desperately overdue for an update, but if you want to check it out...http://goingnomadic.wordpress.comCiao and good luck!~jeremy
Hey Jeremy,I've actually been on your blog before, early on when I was researching what people with the same goals were doing. I believe I just might have learned a thing or two from it.If you ever feel like passing on any advice I would welcome it. I have been romanticising about this for so long my vision shows it being sunny and hot everyday with no vehicle problems at all ;)I'm really looking forward to this and am so lucky to have an overwhelming amount of support, much of it from strangers. Have there been any amazing acts of support in your 3 years as a vandweller?
Hey Angela, big sis Lisa here. So very proud of you for following your dream even though, scratch that, especially since it is unconventional. You have the best spirit of anyone I have ever met and I love you very much. Have an amazing trip and believe the doggy of your dreams will find you, I do. You will be missed. If a person who is loved is the richest person in the world, you are a gazillionaire. Bon Voyage kiddo!!
Thanks sis! You're making me tear up! I appreciate your support more than you know. xo
Have a great adventure Ange! You are truly living life! I agree with Lisa, you are rich - and will continue to be made richer in the months to come! I can't wait to hear about all the great times you will have (don't forget the little people :) Love you to bitsC
Right back atch! Will miss the crap outa ya!
Good morning Angela, Wishing you happy trails. What an adventure, GOOD LUCK!!! Lisa will keep me informed. Pauline
Thanks for the kind words Pauline. I appreciate it!Take care. A
hi ange, just wanted to know if you got my e-mail yesterday" 2nd" mum
Hi Angela,The people you meet along the way will love you as much as we all do here! Halifax is smaller without you. I will keep writing you little notes. Be well,Jo and G
Oh my goodness what a cutie! I knew your dog would find you, and sounds like those people were not too nice to her. She will be a great companion. Little dogs shake whenever they are stressed, excited, or nervous, so let's say she was very excited to meet you. Don't baby her when she shakes, it will reinforce that she should be nervous. Can't help but offer advice, you know me!! Love you and I read every day.
Thanks sis. It's crazy how automatic it is for me to want to talk baby talk to her, but I don't. I keep tellin her she has to toughen up if she wants to be with me ;)She's quickly getting the hang of things and even walks with me without a leash...mostly. I do both on and off depending on the situation. She's no Rosco when it comes to hiking but I'll cut her some slack since she's still a young pup.
Hey dude... I know you ain't in NS anymore... Maybe you could I don't know... update the map? lol xoxoxoxox
hey! a friend of yours was telling me about your blog then I just happened to see this:http://bestwesternroute66.com/photocontest.phpLooks like the perfect contest for you :o)Neat project. Love, love your dog.
Wow! That's awesome. Thanks for sharing this with me. I could sure use a gas card. Thanks so much!
Hi Angela! I'm a student in Los Angeles. I'm not sure if you're planning on heading this way, but if you are, I've got some food with your name on it! Cool blog!-Williehartman.willie at gmail . com
Thanks Wille. I'm not sure if I will end up that way or not but if i do I will take you up on that offer! Thanks!!!
Hi Angela,Glad that everything is up and running. As I told you at the store before you left "there will be many of us living vicariously through you and your travels. Keep it up. Best of luck.Regards, Roland
I should have mentioned, I really enjoyed reading your posts.Roland
Thanks Roland, I appreciate it. Thanks for following along on this crazy adventure of mine.A
Must be pretty bizarre to be Canadian rolling through the US at length while we have our crazyville election freak out thing going full tilt.We have another house guest at present, and tomorrow morning it's omelettes for everyone! Glad you are groovin' there, but wish I could blink you (you two!) here for a hearty breakfast.Enjoying your posts. Thanks for the work of Angela art.Todd and family. Overbrook Farms, Philadelphia
I wish you could blink us there for omelettes as well! I'm sure your new house guest is in for a treat. Thanks for following along. Hope all is well there with you and your lovely family.
You go girl...found your article in the Halifax magazine and admire what you tackling in the adventure world and send all the power to you.Play safe out there.A new follower!Brenda aka: Perky
Hi Brenda! Thanks for checking out my blog. Really do love hearing from people and appreciate your words of encouragement. A
Safe travels and good journeys to you Angela! It was a pleasure meeting you and Okie(?) ! Good karma and sunny horizons to you ! AKJim
Thanks Jim. It was always nice seeing you at the dog run and I'm glad Squee and Okie got comfortable with each other. Almost home now....
i will continue to check your blog for new information on figuring out your next adventure and where you will go after your stop gap in your traveling van excursion very good reading for us living through you and Okie too. Hope you have a successful winter creating your art pieces and figuring out whether you will hit the road again later in the year i think you are meant for this type of lifestyle and bring a wonderful and fresh perspective to life on the road to us that are to afraid of jumping into this realm of wonderment. Looks like people are much more willing to help people such as yourself along your travels than i would have ever expected too see maybe there is hope for mankind getting back to what really matters in life. Instead of all the rat race fast paced greedy things that are shown on the news these days.
Thanks for taking the time to write me. I'm so happy you see some of the main points I'm trying to make with this blog. I really want people not to be so afraid of each other. People really are good (I know there's bad too) but if we rely on the news we get the impression there's more bad than good out there. I just don't feel this is true and after being on the road I can say I never felt threatened and was most often blown away by people's kindness. Also, thanks for commenting that I am meant for this lifestyle. I wondered for a long time while dreaming about it if I could hack it. Now I don't know how I will ever go back to working 40 hours a week for someone else. Or for that matter, stay in one spot for a long time. So..I guess I will do my best not to!!
So glad I found your story through your link on Facebook's "I own a Boler". I love to see people who live their dream and just make it happen. There's such amazing stuff to experience out there, and if you don't explore you'll never know what our missing. Keep up the good work.
Glad you found me too! I am already noticing the community of people on that FB group who are willing to share their information. It's going to be a big help during my restoration. I checked out your blog quickly and I see you are living out of a big brown van(?). I love to see other people wandering full-time as well. Keep on truckin!
Just tripped across your blog...! Cool! If you are truckin' down #1 Highway in the Oak Lake, Manitoba area (1/2 hour west of Brandon, Manitoba) drop by! You might also want to check out my blog at www.pickersjournal.blogspot.com
Love your blog! Love what you do as I've considered doing the picking thing...HOWEVER, I would have to learn a lot about antiques; as in EVERYTHING! I will most drop by if in the area.
Hey Angela Looks like your really living the life! do you stay in the van even in winters? how do you keep your water from freezing? do you plug the van in and turn the heaters on? do you have a propane or natural gas pilot light for the water heater? I would love to try the van life but the Canadian winters very from moderate to Brutal. Maybe I would need to head to the West coast for winter.
Hi Myles. Nope, I don't have the van at all anymore but if I did I don't think I'd be in it in the winter. I'm not that tough! Thanks for taking the time to pop by.
Hey Angela ! AK Jim here , nice job on the camp trailer ! Those car restoration guys on TV have nothing on you lol Hope to see you again someday , be well and happy ! AKJ
Hey Alaskan Jim! Thanks for popping by my blog. Nice to hear from you...I'll be sure to get back on here and post my continuing progress on my trailer when I get back at'er!!Hope you're well too and enjoying some warm weather for me!
